Daily Forecast

From Meteorologist Ethan Emery:

A cooler Wednesday forecast:

A few lingering showers are moving through part of western South Dakota and northeast Wyoming this morning; but the activity is fairly light and non-severe. By daylight the activity should be out of the area as many will see partly to mostly cloudy skies.

We are tracking a cool and quiet day for most in the Black Hills region as highs will only reach the 70s and low 80s. A stray shower or storm is possible in elevated areas; particularly the Big Horns. The Black Hills could also see an isolated shower or storm, but the threat looks relatively low based on lack of energy to maintain the storm. Winds will be from the southeast today between 5-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph in a few locations.

Extended forecast:

Temperatures look to stay below average for much of the 7 day forecast. Skies will remain partly cloudy through the rest of the week accompanied with the isolated chance of a shower or storm late Thursday as well as Friday afternoon; but most are expected to stay dry. Saturday will see a brief warm up, but won't last too long as we are tracking a cool weather pattern setting up for the end of August. At this point, computer models look dry, but if anything changes we will alert you here first!
