Shrimp Provencale


1 onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
1/2 stick butter
2 TB flour
3 c canned Italian tomatoes
1 c PLAIN barbecue sauce
2 lb cooked shrimp


In a large skillet, sauté the first 3 ingredients in the butter until soft. Add the flour and cook to a thick paste. Add the next 2 ingredients and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Add the shrimp and heat. Can serve over rice, if desired.
