Red Wine Chili


2 lb ground beef
1 can black beans
1 can pinto beans
1/2 c prepared salsa
1/2 c dry red wine
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp black pepper


Brown ground beef; remove from heat and drain excess fat.

Add half of the cans of black and pinto beans. Put the other halves in a food processor and puree. Add to beef mixture.

Add remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Garnish with sour cream, green onions and cheddar cheese, if desired.
