Red Hot Spicy Chili


2 1b ground beef, or cubed stew meat
2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 can corn, drained
1 15oz can tomato sauce
1 6oz can tomato paste
2 c water
mixture of hot peppers, such as jalapenos, serranoes, poblanos, habaneros and cayenne
1/2 red onion
2 large cloves garlic
4 TB chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sugar (optional)


Brown beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
In a pot, add beef, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low.
In a food processor or blender, combine peppers, onion and garlic. Finely chop then stir into beef mixture. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
Serve with dollop of sour cream and / or cheddar cheese.
