Pasta with Shrimp in a Spicy Tomato Sauce


1/4 c olive oil
1 TB fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1 can (8oz) crushed tomatoes
1/3 c cilantro or parsley, chopped
3/4 lb penne pasta
1 lb medium shrimp, shelled


In a bowl, whisk together the first 8 ingredients. Stir in the tomatoes and cilantro.

In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the penne until almost done. About 2 minutes before done, add shrimp and boil until shrimp is done and pasta is al dente. Drain, then toss with tomato sauce.
