Mexican Pork Chops


4 pork chops, 1" thick
3 TB oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp oregano
1 c tomato sauce
2 TB chili powder
2 TB chopped green chilies, drained
cilantro for garnish


Brown chops in oil on both sides. Pour off excess grease and add onion and garlic. Cook until onion softens. Add remaining ingredients except cilantro. Cover and cook until sauce thickens and chops are tender. Serve with fresh cilantro.

*note - you can fully cook chops, remove and cook rest of ingredients then top chops with sauce, if you wish
