Grilled Italian Burgers


1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
Marinara or spaghetti sauce, warmed


In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup cheese and seasonings. Add beef; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick patties.
Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat until a thermometer reads 160°, 4-5 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; grill, covered, until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes longer. Serve with marinara sauce.

ALTERNATIVELY: You can simply put patties on the grill and sprinkle with salt, ,pepper and Italian seasoning, plus a few dashes of Worcestershire, repeat on other side then continue on with recipe
