Fondue Steak with Bloody Mary Dipping Sauce


2 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1" bite-size pieces
2 TB olive oil
1/3 c green onions, finely chopped
1/2 c Vodka
2 TB Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Tabasco
1 (8oz) can tomato sauce
1 rounded TB prepared horseradish
salt and pepper to taste
bamboo skewers


Heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon oil and onions and sauté 5 minutes. Add Vodka and reduce by half. Add Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and horseradish. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Add salt and pepper; adjust seasonings to taste.
Meanwhile, coat meat lightly with remaining oil and season with salt and pepper. cook in nonstick skillet until caramelized, about 2 minutes.
transfer dipping sauce into a small dish and place at the center of a serving platter. Surround the dish with the mean and bamboo skewers alongside meat.
