Crustless Meat, Mushroom and Cheese Quiche


1/2 lb thinly sliced meat, such as ribeye or sirloin
1/2 c chopped onions
1 c finely chopped mushrooms
1 clove garlic, minced
2 TB butter
5 eggs
1 c heavy cream
1/2 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste


In a large pan, sauté onions, steak strips, mushrooms and garlic in butter, until cooked.
In a large bowl whisk eggs, then whisk the cream, salt and pepper.
Add the steak and mushroom mixture and stir well.
Mix in the shredded cheese.
Pour the mixture into a greased 10" pie plate.
Bake at 375 °F (180 °C) for 35-40 minutes or until set and slightly browned.
Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving
