Cowboy Beans


2 lb ground beef, browned and drained
1/2 lb bacon, cooked, drained and torn into small pieces
2 cans beans (use your favorite) drained and rinsed
1 (16oz) can pork and beans, undraind
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c ketchup or barbecue sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried mustard
2 tsp vinegar
1 medium onion, finely chopped


Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high for 2 hours (or 1 1/2 hours high, 1/2 hour low). This dish can also be prepared on the stovetop, or in the oven at 325 degrees.
