Chili Four Ways


For the Basic Chili:
1 lb ground beef
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can beef broth
1 can tomatoes and green chilies, drained
2 TB chili powder

Cincinnati Style:
add 3 TB white vinear
add 1 tsp ground cinnamon
add 8oz cooked macaroni

Mexican Style:
add 1 TB cocoa powder
add 1/4 chopped fresh cilantro

Italian Style:
add 1/2 tsp fennel seed
add 2 cups baby spinach
add 8 oz cooked pasta
add Parmesan cheese for garnish

Moroccan Style:
add 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
add 1/4 c golden raisins
add 1 box prepared cous cous
add Greek Yogurt and chopped fresh mint for garnish


For basic chili, brown ground beef, pour off any excess drippings.
Then add remaining ingredients; stir then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
For each variation, add the extra ingredients. For the Cincinnati, Italian and Moroccan styles, serve chili on the pasta or couscous.

Garnish as desired.
