Two fires in just 12 hours

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) In just 12 hours Rapid City firefighters were called out to two separate house fires.

Tuesday night firefighters responded to a home on East Kansas City Street. Crews arrived on-scene within three minutes of the call. Crews found light smoke coming from the home.

The fire began in the kitchen and spread to nearby cabinetry into the ceiling and attic. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to stop forward progress of the fire.
