RAPID CITY, SD (KOTA-TV) A traffic study was held at Western Dakota that focused on the increased traffic on the East side of Rapid City -- specifically Highway 44, Omaha, Campbell, and East North streets.
The survey is looking at what traffic conditions in these areas could look like in the year 20-45.
The traffic study isn't only focusing on cars, however.
'There is a real need for bicycle and pedestrian facilities. You can see worn trails along these roads were people have been walking or biking. So we are going to look and see where we need new facilities.'
