Stolen puppy returned safe

On Tuesday, a Japanese Chin puppy was stolen when three people grabbed the dog from his cage and ran from the store.

He was one of three puppies at the Mount Rushmore Bird belonging to the owner, Barb Paur and not for sale.

Paur posted a $500 reward for information leading to the dog’s return, no questions asked.

Wednesday afternoon the puppy was returned. The dog's owner says he was hungry and dirty, but otherwise unharmed.

She also says the dog is the offspring of two prize winning show dogs and is valued at $2,500.
