RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Cold or warm, the season ends Friday, March 15, for placing winter apparel on Rapid City downtown presidential statues.
For four months during the winter, people as well as church and community groups, place clothing on the statues for the homeless and needy.
Items such as winter gloves, scarves, ear muffs and stocking caps can be placed on statues from Nov. 15 to March 15. After March 15, items placed on the statues will be removed.
This was the fourth season for the city-approved program.
