A Rapid City woman has been missing for about five months and police believe she is dead, her body possibly somewhere within a 100-mile radius of the city.

Tuesday, a $5,000 reward was offered to help find 21-year-old Larissa Lonehill and arrest anyone involved in her disappearance.

Lonehill was last seen in Rapid City in October.

Police have been investigating the case since early November but they are releasing few details of the case to preserve the integrity of the investigation.

“We’ve investigated an enormous number of leads in this case,” says Captain James Johns, commander of the RCPD Criminal Investigations Division. “Now, we need someone to come forward who has knowledge of her disappearance. Larissa has a two-year-old daughter and a number of family members who are in desperate need of closure about their loved-one.”

Lonehill's mother implored anyone with information to come forward to help the search. She, like police, hope the reward will bring new details that will help bring closure.

"I miss my daughter everyday. We are hopeful that we will be able to find her. I pray that somebody finds it in their heart to come forward to tell the police where she is," Lisa Lonehill said.

Anyone with any information about the disappearance of Larissa Lonehill can contact Detective Ryan Gebhard at 394-4134.
