Regional Health opens Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital
Regional Health Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital officially opened the doors Monday.
The new state-of-the-art hospital is like a one-stop shop that provides people with access to orthopedic and musculoskeletal care, sports medicine, pain management, rehabilitation and sports enhancements.
It features four surgery suites, 10 inpatient rooms, specialty clinics, a physical therapy gym as well as a sports performance institute.
"I think what we are trying to promote here is that ability for somebody to get care for all aspects that they might be ailing from a muscular skeletal point so if you're somebody that just wants to get better, bigger, quicker, faster at the type of things that you do, our sports performance is going to do you wonders," said Mark Longacre, president of Regional Health Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital. "If you're someone who really has some aches and pains, we have non operative and operative orthopedics and nonsurgical approaches. We also have been able to embrace our weight management program in with this."
Regional says having all these services under one roof improves clinical efficiency for providers which results in increased clinical collaboration and improves patient waiting times.
