A Rapid City man is sentenced after being caught up in a 2016 Sturgis Rally sex trafficking sting.

In a plea agreement, 35-year-old Cody Two Lance admitted to felony attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor.

In August of 2016, Two Lance sent an explicit photo of himself to an undercover member of law enforcement posing as a 15-year-old boy, and had arranged to meet for a sexual encounter.

Judge Jeffery Viken imposed a sentence of 21 months in federal custody, which was less than the four-year prison term that was recommended in the plea agreement.

In addition, Two Lance will also face three years of supervised release after he completes his sentence, as well as be required to register as a sex offender and seek treatment for substance abuse issues.

He has already been in custody for 19 months, which he will receive credit for toward the 21 month sentence.
