After the holidays, users of the public library in Rapid City may find it easier to find their favorite book.

The library board of trustees is making some changes designed to make the facility more user friendly, starting in January.

There will be some fresh paint and new carpeting.

And, how you find books will be different too... More like a book store.

"There is a view across the country that users want to come in and find their books more easily by category not Dewey Decimal", said Jessica Olson, Rapid City library board-chair.

Olson, also said, that the library will stay open during renovations and the hours will be the same.
