Rapid City Rush express artistic talents for a good cause

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Rapid City Rush donated their time to help fight hunger for Feeding South Dakota's Empty Bowls Event in April.
Rush players gathered at Pottery 2 Paint, Feb. 13, to express their artistic talents.

They painted bowls, gave out autographs and took pictures with fans. Pottery 2 Paint and the Rush provided door prizes. It costed $10 to paint a bowl and the money raised from bowls will eventually go to Feeding South Dakota's BackPack Program through the annual Empty Bowls Event.

"Oh it feels great, I think we are all excited to do events like this that are for a good cause and no one should going hungry," said Rush Hockey Player Alex Kromm, "so this is a great cause and we're happy to do this."

the 6th Annual Empty Bowls event will be held April 12th, at the South Dakota School of Mines in the Surbeck Center.
