President Donald Trump says life-long dream is to be a part of Mount Rushmore

RAPID CITY S.D. (KOTA TV) - President Donald Trump admitted his life-long dream to Representative Kristi Noem. He wants to be the fifth president on Mount Rushmore.

We went to the national memorial, and asked visitors who they think should be carved in the granite next.

Living or dead. A former president or a favorite athlete. Visitors to Mount Rushmore Tuesday had their own opinions about who would be a fitting addition to the famous four faces.

"Martin Luther King because I think he, even though he wasn't a president I think he did a lot to change America and bring people together," says Joye Kuckolls, visiting from Oregon.

"Harriet Tubman. She led the people out of slavery or got them out of slavery and got them on the underground railroad. One, she's African-American and two, she is a woman," says Rachel Cornette, visiting from Washington.

Officials at Mount Rushmore say another face can't be added because there is no viable rock left to carve into on the memorial.
