Politics comes to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

STURGIS, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is known for some outlandish things, body paint, wild concerts...and politics?

Chris Cox a South Carolina man, is at the 77th rally showing his support for President Trump, with his group "Bikers for Trump."

The organization started in July of 2015, to help promote Trump on his presidential campaign.

But now they are here to celebrate Trumps victory, and to get ready for the next election.

"During the campaign it was very political, but now that he won this this badge and symbol, simply says we support our president. We really don't even see it as a political flag anymore, it's just a show in support for our Commander in Chief", says Cox.

Cox says they have gotten nothing but positive feedback from visitors,
and will be at the Sturgis rally until the end of this week.
