Police K-9 takes down 2 chase suspects

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Two Rapid City people are under arrest after a chase and take downs by a Rapid City Police Department K-9 Wednesday night.

Arrested are 20-year-old Michael Croyle and 24-year-old Jasmyn Hall.

Croyle is charged with aggravated eluding, obstruction, drug offenses, gun-related offenses, as well as a warrant and parole hold. Hall was arrested for commission of a felony with a firearm, obstruction, and drug charges.

The incident began about 8:10 p.m. when police were called about a vehicle complaint on East Fairmont Boulevard. Croyle, who is a parole absconder, was reportedly driving.

Police tried to stop the vehicle on Fifth Street, but the driver sped off. The driver then bailed out of the vehicle when he hit a dead end on Minuteman Drive near the Horace Mann Pool.

At the same time, a woman also jumped out of the vehicle and ran. She was taken down by a police K-9; which then ran down the driver, Croyle.

Police report finding marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun.
