RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Downtown Rapid City was busy Friday morning as cars lined up for a special breakfast for a good cause. KOTA TV, Black Hills Bagels, Dark Canyon Coffee and Pepsi put on the annual KOTA Care and Share Bagel in the Street Drive Thru.
Members of the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, the Rapid City Police Department, KOTA staff and numerous volunteers handed out white chocolate chip bagels, coffee, Pepsi products and dog treats in exchange for donations.
“I just believe in supporting the community and Church Response is just an awesome, awesome,” said Chree Pederson. “I appreciate Black Hills Bagels, Pepsi and Dark Canyon Coffee for doing this.”
Thirty-three gallons of Dark Canyon Coffee and 2,000 bagels were served. The event raised $9,777 and 805 pounds of food for Church Response.
