Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors host educational forums

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The Mniluzahan Okolakiciyapi Ambassadors continue to work behind the scenes to improve cultural understanding and forge friendships between Native American and non-Native communities.

Marnie Herrmann and Whitney Rencountre talked about the eight series Lakota cultural forums. On August 30, 2106, at the Garage in Rapid City, the topic is "Why the Black Hills are Sacred".

On Friday, August 26, 2016, the ambassadors took a trip to learn about Lakota Spirituality.

Looking ahead, they're planning for Wacipi 101 on September 29, the Native American Day Parade on October 8, Black Hills Wacipi (pow wow) October 7, 8, 9.
