SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) - Former State Legislator Lora Hubbel officially announced her run for South Dakota's top job Friday morning.
She made her announcement for her run for governor at her family's businesses in Sioux Falls.
Hubbel also made a run for governor against Dennis Daugaard back in 2014. She said that race prepared her for another run for the position.
"Anytime you run a race you don't quit after the first race, and you learn from the first race," she said. "I learned not to be so timid because this message needs to get out."
Hubbel said she will focus on several issues facing the state if elected, including corruption, health care and education.
