Youth and Family Services and Girls Inc are up for a $25,000 grant but they need your help.

The money would come from a nationwide contest through State Farm's Neighborhood Assist program. The catch - Girls Inc is up against 200 other organizations. Only 40 will be chosen.

Each of those will get the $25,000 grant and locally that amount of money could be life changing for dozens of families. The grant would allow more girls to participate in the Girls Inc program - for free.

"If Youth and Family Services Girls Inc program would be fortunate enough to win the 25 thousand dollars we would be able to provide 500 scholarships to girls in our community to become members of Girls Inc for an entire year," says Brianna Nelson with Youth and Family Services.

Now it's up to you- the community to help Girls Inc win this money. You can vote up to 10 times per day - until Aug. 24.
