TEN SLEEP, Wyo. (KOTA TV) - A Gillette man was killed in a Tuesday afternoon crash on US Highway 16, east of Ten Sleep, Wyo.
Christopher Short, 46, lost control of his pickup truck on a curve, went off the road and overturned. The Wyoming Highway Patrol believes speed could have been a contributing factor in the crash.
Short is the 17th crash victim in Wyoming this year. The number of crash victims is almost double to what it was at this time last year, when there were nine deaths. It is also higher than 2017 with 10 deaths; and 2016 when there were just six at this time.
