RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The Festival of Lights parade was Saturday night and as snow fell, the people bundled up in coats and blankets as they got into the holiday spirit.
Before the parade started people already had their chairs lined up and warm drinks in hand. Just after six o'clock the floats started rolling on East Boulevard and down Main Street before turning on 7th street and ending on St. Joseph Street. Participants included floats, displays on flatbed trucks, and of course, horse-drawn carriages. There was a little something for everyone, young and old.
Adam Fitzgerald brought his family to see the parade and says, "Oh it's excellent we really like it. The floats are very creative and the kids really like the lights so it's good. It's not even that cold." He also says since this is his first time seeing the parade they might just continue
