Driver runs off after Rapid City crash

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Police say a driver took off on foot after causing a two-car crash in North Rapid City Friday, just before 8 a.m.

The driver of a Chevy Impala reportedly was trying to turn off of East North Street onto North Maple Avenue when the car was t-boned by a Honda Accord also on East North Street.

While several people in the Impala ran off, one passenger stayed. That passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Accord also has non-life threatening injuries while two passengers were uninjured.

In a release, police say they are investigating to determine the identification of the driver who ran.
