RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The Tim Tebow Foundation hosts "Night to Shine" each year, a prom for people with special needs and tonight in Rapid City, about 400 volunteers helped Bethel Assembly bring a ray of sunshine to this special event.
Bethel Assembly is one of 450 churches around the world that hosts "Night to Shine."
From limousine rides to hair and makeup, all the prom-goers get the royal treatment. Each guest walked down the red carpet onto the dance floor. All this leading up to the big moment when everyone is crowned king or queen of the prom. And the royal treatment does not stop there, the caregivers got massages and coffee, as well.
"It's awesome," said Keith Culver, Bethel Assembly Associate Pastor. "I was just on the red carpet a minute ago watching them come in and just to see their faces light up and hear everybody cheer for them was just an amazing thing to see."
Bethel Assembly has done this for a few years now and they want to continue a "Night to Shine" for years to come. This was the only "Night to Shine" prom on the Western side of South Dakota.
