Does social media marketing work?
Research from Crowdtap revealed 64% of 3,000 people surveyed use social media to find inspiration for shopping. That’s up 51% over last year.
Nearly half (46%) of social media users are already using social platforms while thinking about making a purchase. 40% of users are actively deciding what to buy based on what they have seen on social media platforms, including reviews and recommendations, and this is only set to grow.
Most importantly, have a strategy! Know your demographic or target audience. Define your budget for potential “Pay-Per-Click” systems, whether it’s $5 a week, or $500 a week. Then take action! Spend 10-15 minutes every day monitoring your activity and responding to inquiries.
Once you start to see greater results you can dedicate more time. This is only one bit of research and there are no guarantees, but social commerce is the present, not the future. It’s expected that buying through social media will only increase.
