College courses available to high school students

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Area high school students can get a jump-start on college general courses or start a specific college for free, or at a reduced cost at Western Dakota Tech. On Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at Western Dakota Tech, you can register to attend the dual enrollment information night to learn more information.

There are many benefits of dual enrollment for students:

-opportunity to graduate faster by earning college credit while in high school
-time and money savings
-chance to explore career fields
-experience college on a campus setting
-availability of transferable general education classes
-credit earned for passing a course and not just a test
-ability to choose from more than 380 online and on-campus courses

Students can register for dual enrollment information night at wdt.edu/dual.
