Cadillac Jack's Gaming Resort in Deadwood is getting started on its expansion construction this week
The first part of the project, which will start Thursday, is a $2.8 million project approved by the city commission for improvements like sidewalk upgrades, and sewer replacements. In total the expansion will cost $28 million. It will feature a 108-room 'Tru by Hilton' hotel and will be built in the parking lot adjacent to the gaming resort. 50 to 60 new games will also be included as well as a few more food and beverage outlets.
The expansion will be good for the Deadwood economy.
"There's sales tax implications for the city, we're also going to provide another 50 or 60 jobs. Upwards of 75 depending on those food and beverage outlets. It will have an enormous impact," said Caleb Arceneaux, Liv Hospitality.
The project is expected to be finished may of 2018.
