Businesses in KOTA Territory see a boost thanks to eclipse
The rally may be over, but visitors continue to flock to South Dakota, in particular the Black Hills.
This time mother nature is the driving force, thanks to August 21 solar eclipse.
Even though the totality is south of the Black Hills, there is an economic benefit here.
Car rentals such as Casey's usually sees on average, about two rentals per day post Sturgis rally. Now thanks to the eclipse, they are seeing around twenty rentals.
Hotels in the area are also jammed. Dani Diehl with Comfort Suites Hotel says, they have been taking reservations from over a year ago.
Diehl says visitors are also questions on what to do in KOTA Territory during their visit, which is a big help for tourism.
