SPEARFISH, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The wines are picked and the menu set for Antunez restaurant in Spearfish.
The family effort opened for business Tuesday, May 8 at 11 a.m.
The restaurant features dishes and flavors from Spain, Mexico and South America.
Owner Sabrina Heredia says they wanted to bring the food of their family to their community.
"We are very interested in fresh, local ingredients as much as we can," she said. The flavors for the food comes from "where we've come from in California that we've missed and we want to share with everyone."
The family also wanted to create a welcoming environment for their diners. The menu features a variety of foods and prices ranging from street tacos and salsa to grilled portobello mushrooms and steak.
