David Stradling returned to the Black Hills as KEVN Black Hills Fox chief meteorologist.
David has loved weather ever since he was a child. Between watching The Weather Channel and the local Doppler radar channel, he would always stay busy keeping up to date with the latest weather going on.
This led David to pursuing a meteorology degree from Ball State University. Upon graduation in the fall of 2014, David moved to Rapid City to begin his weather career as a weekend meteorologist at KOTA Territory News.
He fell in love with Rapid City and the Black Hills during his two years after college; mostly because of all of the hiking, photography and storm chasing he did.
In the fall of 2016, David took a full-time weather job back in his home town of Fort Wayne, Ind. He was the morning meteorologist there for two years before realizing he wanted to move back out west.
After an opportunity opened up at KEVN Black Hills FOX, David knew he couldn't pass up on the opportunity to take over as chief meteorologist and reside in the beautiful Black Hills once again.
David is beyond excited to be back and plans to be here for a while. He can't wait to get back out hiking, skiing, storm chasing and pursue his passion of photography.
