Spencer Schacht
Reporter
Portland, OR

Spencer Schacht is an award winning journalist who joined FOX 12 team in August of 2024. He is excited to tell the stories of those who call the Pacific North West Home.
Before he came to the Beaver State, Spencer was a reporter for KOB 4 in Albuquerque New Mexico, where he was named the 2022 Reporter of the Year. Spencer also spent some time in the nearby Treasure State working for ABC FOX Montana in Missoula. In 2020 he was awarded an E.B. Craney by the Montana Broadcasters Association for his breaking news coverage of the Mount Sentinel fire.
Spencer is a graduate of St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud Minnesota. In college he worked for both the campus television and radio stations and earned awards from the MBJA Eric Sevareid Awards and SPJ Mark of Excellence Awards for his coverage of the 2019 Twin Cities Honor flight.
Moving from the hot and dry southwest to the wetter PNW Spencer is looking forward to more skiing adventures and can't wait to shred down Mt. Hood. But in the warmer months he likes to go on hikes, rollerblading, and checking out local wineries.
