Dominik W. E. Dausch

Dominik is Colorado-born and South Dakota-raised. He graduated from Stevens High School in 2015 and studied mass communications and English from 2015-2019.
Dominik got his foot in the door of journalism working as a production assistant for Rapid Broadcasting Company in July 2014. Fascinated by contemporary and local media and wanting to apply his studies of the English language to practical tasks, Dominik later jump-started his career by becoming a photojournalist in 2016.
From July 2017 to March 2019, Dominik accepted a position as a general assignment reporter. Dominik's journalistic accomplishments include his foremost coverage and weeks of follow-up on the disappearance of Serenity Dennard in February 2019. He also captured the entirety of a propane tank explosion in Tilford, S.D. that claimed the lives of a volunteer firefighter and a Tilford man.
In his free time, Dominik enjoys exploring the Black Hills and spending time with his family and his three dogs - Panda, Lilly and Tubby. He is also an avid reader; his all-time favorite writers include Shakespeare, Henry Thoreau and Arthur Miller.
