RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - State Rep. Travis Ismay, R-Newell, is facing a low-level felony charge based on an indictment from a Butte County grand jury.

The indictment alleges Ismay destroyed a private road.

The indictment states Ismay was responsible for intentionally digging up, removing or destroying a public highway, bridge or a driveway laid out by authority of law or bridge.

The charge is a Class 6 felony. Ismay faces a maximum of two years in prison, a $4,000 fine or both.

The warrant was issued Tuesday. Ismay posted a $500 bond.

KOTA Territory News reached out to Ismay for comment but has not heard back.
