Man dies after being trapped under 3 feet of corn in grain bin

COTTONWOOD COUNTY, Minn. (KEYC/Gray News) - A man in Minnesota is dead after authorities say he was trapped in a grain bin Thursday night.

Cottonwood County dispatch reportedly received a call from rural Storden about an individual trapped inside a grain bin around 7:46 p.m. The caller told dispatch they could not find the man inside the grain bin.

Responders arrived on the scene and attempted to find the man, later identified as William Quade, 72, of Storden.

He was found submerged under about 3 feet of corn.

Quade was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
