Showers Possible Tonight & Tomorrow Morning
Winds also pick up tomorrow.
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -
A cold front will be making its way through KOTA Territory throughout the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop into the mid 30s to the mid 40s across the area. Winds start to pick up behind the front, especially in the morning. Showers begin working their way into the forecast early tomorrow morning as we see the threat for showers continue through lunchtime. Clearing skies take over by the afternoon with high temperatures staying on the cooler side of things with upper 50s and lower 60s expected. Winds will be strong all day long with gusts up to 35 mph.
Winds calm down a tad for Sunday with sunny skies for everyone. We will see high temperatures reach the 60s in most areas with some spots seeing the lower 70s. Monday, temperatures return to near to slightly above average with mid to upper 70s. Mostly sunny skies will be paired with wind gusts over 35 mph Monday. Tuesday, partly sunny to partly cloudy skies take over with highs back in the 80s. Wednesday, highs will reach the mid and upper 70s for most of KOTA Territory with mostly sunny skies. A few isolated thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday, but nothing should be severe. Thursday, temperatures reach near 80 with sunshine dominating the skies. Friday, more sunny skies are likely as temperatures begin to heat back up. Upper 80s are expected.
