RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Rapid City police arrested two men Wednesday they say were committing fraud by soliciting donations on behalf of a local high school student athletic organization.

Officers were called to the Walmart on North Lacrosse Street Wednesday morning for a report of fraudulent activity. Police say the two men set up tables at store entrances and asked customers for donations. Officers determined the suspects were not affiliated with the organization and could not provide details on where the collected money was going.

The two men were identified as Davion Bell, 19, of Riverdale, Illinois, and Trvone Stokes, 31, of Chicago.

Police said both suspects were soliciting donations on Feb. 24th and 25th. Anyone who donated money to the suspects is asked to call Detective Brian Fletcher at 605-394-4134.
