Pete Lien & Sons Shooting Sports Complex Opens to Public

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) -The new Pete Lien & Sons Shooting Sports Complex, located off Elk Vale Road, officially opened its ranges to the public Saturday.

The complex offers ranges for pistols, shotguns, and archery.

It features 140 free shooting ranges and 20 membership-only ranges. Memberships cost $100 annually for individuals or $150 for families.

With shooting ranges rare in western South Dakota, the Pete Lien & Sons Shooting Sports Complex aims to become one of the best in the region.

“We’re shooting to be the best shooting range in the nation,” Project Lead John Kanta said. “We know there’s nothing like this offered in the region, so lots of opportunity out here, and we welcome everyone.”
