Grilling with Eric - Jam Packed Burgers
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Roxy Murphy from Sturgis sent in this recipe for Jam Packed Burgers. There’s a little bit of everything in these burgers, making them chock full of flavor.
Mix together: 1 1/2 lb ground beef with half an onion, finely chopped. Add 1 half cup of shredded cheddar cheese and a teaspoon of Soy Sauce. Then add a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce and beaten egg. Add a half a package of onion soup mix and 1 minced garlic clove. Not done yet - add a tablespoon of garlic powder and a teaspoon each of dry parsley flakes, dried basil and oregano. Throw in a half teaspoon of dried rosemary. Finally, add a pinch of salt and pepper.
Mix everything thoroughly by hand, form into patties and throw them on a hot grill. Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side or until done.
