A very warm Sunday is in store before our next system rolls in. Monday will not be bad either, highs for Rapid City will be in the low 50's.
Monday late in the evening, some rain will take over the northern half of KOTA-Territory. This rain will transition to snow from north to south. This snow is looking like a very wet snow and temperatures will be borderline with freezing.
I think we will see snow, it's just a matter of how soon or late the changeover occurs. As of now, it looks as if Rapid City will change over to all snow by 1AM Tuesday morning before ending around 9AM. If this occurs, I could see 2 inches of wet snow total in Rapid City. If the changeover is sooner a little more, and if it's later a little less.
On Wednesday, a ridge of high pressure will build out west allowing warmer air to return by the middle of next week.
