Hurricane Arthur made landfall in North Carolina late on July 3, but it did not dawdle over the coastline to vandalize neighborhoods for long. By Friday morning, it had weakened to a Category 1 and was downgraded to a tropical storm on Saturday.

Weather Forecast

Cooler air settles in for the weekend and to start next week. Then we have another round of 80s coming back by the end of next week.

We're tracking two storm systems coming up. First is a Little Storm, coming in late Monday through Tuesday morning. Any showers with this storm will be light.

The second storm has the potential to bring more widespread rain by the last few days of the month, starting around Sunday the 28th. more on that one as it develops.
