Daily Forecast

From Chief Meteorologist Mike Modrick:

Colder Weekend With Snow

All eyes turn to a strong storm system that will be pushing out into the plains from the Rockies this weekend. Model consensus takes the bulk of this storm just south of Rapid City, but areas near the Nebraska border could see significant snowfall Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning. Right now, it looks like Rapid City will get 1" to 2" of snow, but Custer, Pine Ridge, Edgemont and Hot Springs could see 6" or more. We'll continue to track the storm as it develops.

The storm will move east Sunday, bringing snow and blowing snow into south central and eventually southeastern South Dakota and central Nebraska. Travel could become difficult in these areas, especially Sunday night.

Next week looks quiet with slight warming trend!
