Posted: 10:06 PM - A Little Cooler: KOTA Territory First Alert Webcast

Posted: 8:08 AM - Up to 76° this afternoon in Rapid City. An approaching cold front brings isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.

Daily Forecast

From Chief Meteorologist Mike Modrick:

A Little Cool Down!b>

A cold front is pushing through KOTA Territory tonight, and an isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible along that front this evening. And we head back to the 60s behind the front, too.

There is a small change for the weekend weather pattern that makes a BIG difference to us. The main areas of rain are showing signs of holding to the south and east of us for the holiday weekend. There could still be an isolated shower in the heat of the day, especially over the Black Hills. But the activity looks minimal right now. And a drier weekend means temperatures will be close to the average high of 70 this Memorial Day weekend.
