CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Organizers of Cheyenne Frontier Days and local police don't see a cause for specific concern about wider use of marijuana bought legally next door in Colorado.
CFD Security Committee chairman Hoy Myers says he isn't planning any particular precautions to screen for marijuana use during the rodeo.
He says routine bag checks at the entrance to Frontier Park will be conducted as usual and if any marijuana turns up the matter will be referred to police.
Officer Dan Long with the Cheyenne Police Department tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle that the department isn't planning any specific detail aimed at marijuana users.
He says it remains to be seen just how many rodeo attendees will take a side trip to Colorado during their time in Cheyenne.
